Brazil Mission Trip Report

On May 25, Sarah Weber, Cathy Brown, Mat Winn, Joyce McGinty, Gerri Hall, Tim Hall, Tyler Hall, and Jim Jackson, along with the PLNU men's soccer team and a group from Vista Church of the Nazarene, went on a mission trip to Brazil. There, they partnered with Campinas Central Church of the Nazarene and Lazarian World Homes to build the first four units of a Clergy Care and Development Center, which will care for active and retired ministers.  The cottages were dedicated to the memory of Maurice Hall, who was a member of our congregation.  While there, they also put on puppet shows for children, attended a conference for pastors in the Campinas/San Paulo area, visited Brazil Nazarene College, and worshiped with Central Church of the Nazarene, which has over 6,000 members!

Jim Jackson reported, "This trip was more than doing construction work.  I was able to relate to people: pastors, college students, children, working adults.  We worshipped together with the citizens of Brazil.  I shall always remember them…I felt a new well of joy had been opened in my spirit.  For this I am grateful!  Gloria do Deus!"
